This volume [also] reproduces the text of fifteen declassified strategic guidance documents, with the exception of a small number of indicated deletions of words or sentences that remain classified under the Archives Act 1983. Cover pages, lists of the membership of the Defence Committee, and original tables of contents that were part of some of the documents are not reproduced. Instead, each document is accompanied by a summary written by the editor, and a new table of contents in a standardized form.--Editorial note.
