Abstract: Unmanned vehicles are increasingly prevalent in military operations today. Whether remotely piloted or autonomous, such platforms offer numerous advantages, most notably by sparing human soldiers from performing tedious or dangerous tasks. While useful, significant limitations and controversies prevent unmanned systems from completely replacing humans on the front lines.
